Preparation
Now that we know that carrots are good for dogs do we just give them carrot sticks? Not exactly. For your dog to properly be able to consume the nutrients from the carrot it has to be prepared. Your dog may have a hard time digesting chunks or pieces of carrot. You might see pieces of undigested carrot in your dogs stool if you feed carrot sticks straight to your dog. In that case the dog isn’t getting all the nutrients it could out of the carrot. This is why we prepare our carrots to be a mush or juice type substance. once the carrot is processed and grinned to a juice we add it to the dogs food. This helps to insure that the carrots vitamins and nutrients are absorbed and put to good use. We don’t add anything to the carrots except water. Its not recommended to add anything to the carrots such as spices or salts. Also be careful not too feed to much carrot to your dog for too much can be unhealthy.
