Udela is doing great. I am very, very pleased with her. She is getting better with the cats and although she wears the collar, I rarely use anything but the reward tone. She is very well behaved in the house and follows me around all day. I am amazed at how well she camps out in one location without getting bored and looking for mischief. Although she seems to have bonded to me the most, she is very attached to Drew and Bill. When they left this morning, she wanted to go with them.
We have not started SAR training yet. I had two phone conversations with the dog trainer that I mentioned and decided that my husband was right — her personality was somewhat cold and offensive — so I decided not to work with her. If you have any suggestions on reading material or videos for SAR please let me know. I have also been taking Udela to visit my Dad at the Retirement Home. She is a big hit with his friends and my Dad is all smiles when he sees Udela.
Thank you so much for everything. Udela is just what we needed – I love how sweet and mellow she is – I snapped a pic of her with Drew yesterday so I will send it to you asap.
