 More than three decades ago, starting in Germany, Zauberberg German Shepherd Dog Kennels has been successfully showing in the conformation ring, training law enforcement dogs, and competing in local, regional and national Schutzhund (SchH) sport competition.
Our German Shepherd Dogs here in Arizona are selected individually to fit their new homes as family protectors and companions, competition dogs or police service dogs.
As we exclusively utilize German blood lines in our breeding program, currently you will find the sable (gray) as well as the black and red type in our offspring. Please read more about our dogs, and understand why we use them to improve the breed in temperament and health.

 Here at Zauberberg, our pairings are based on what we believe is best for the breed and desired breed characteristics. Just to match a pedigree, is not enough. Best results have been accomplished by knowing both parents personally!
It is fact that you look somewhat like your parents or grand parents, isn't it? This is why we select the parents that promise the best outcome, not just to match a pedigree. Please email us if you are seriously interested in a puppy from an upcoming litter. Many times the litters are pre sold. We highly encourage you to place a deposit to ensure you will get a dog from the lines we offer. Some of our stud dogs are available to breed with approved females that reside outside our facility. A deposit of 50% is required. Deposits are none refundable. In case the litter will not enable us to provide the puppy for you, the deposit will be transfered toward the purchase of a puppy from another upcoming litter at Zauberberg Kennels. |

Our training philosophy is based on scientifically proven laws of learning. Pawlow and Skinner discovered long ago how dogs learn. We take advantage of their studies today. Firstly, we teach desired behaviors by communicating properly with the animal, through a device that is called "clicker". Keep in mind that behaviors that are rewarded will most likely be repeated. Behaviors that are not rewarded, will most likely not reoccur.
