AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TEST PREPARATION

  • 6 week class once a week
  • Open to both purebred and mixed breed dogs.

The preparation for CGC testing, dogs will become confident with all 10 items of the test.

  1. Testing will be scheduled at the end of the 6 week class.
  2. Accepting a friendly stranger
  3. Sitting politely for petting
  4. Appearance and grooming
  5. Out for a walk on a loose leash
  6. Walking through a crowd
  7. Sit and down on command / staying in place
  8. Coming when called
  9. Reaction to another dog
  10. Reaction to distractions / wheelchair, jogger, bike, shopping cart etc.
  11. Supervised separation
